Ok here's m'y story
My clutch broke 2 hours from home so I add to power shift thé bike for all this time. A good friend Of mine who own à Buell to fixed the clutch perfecly but now my bike is hard to shift. First ride I was'nt able to downshift under 3. Affer left thé bike rest à couple hours, all gears were there but they are hard to shift. I mean, I know Buell are kind Of hard to shift but not that hard... So my question is: If the clutch is good and it's ajustement is ok, what did I broke in the transmission? Is it a one hour job or it's a two days at the dealer?
Thx

I bought an '08 with a new clutch and the same problem you're having so it probably has the same history. It doesn't always shift easily and sometimes when going from 2nd to 1st it will stop at neutral and I have to go back to 2nd before it will go into 1st. I checked the selector under the clutch which looks fine so the only cure will be to open up the tranny. In the mean time I changed the primary oil to Red Line transmission oil which did seem to help some.

2 days at the dealer. You wouldnt be so lucky if internal trans issues are the cause.

Difficulty when moving through all gears wouldnt likely be a shift fork or dog rings. Though if the issue isnt figured out it could damage those things. The clutch itself might be the cause, when lever is pulled in its bot fully dis-egaged- so my opinion is the clutch is still grabbing. If it does turn into internal transmission issues. Its 18.0 hrs labor to R&R the transmission on the books.
