I have an 09 xb12ss and i love it. i really like the looks of the cr but i never got the chance to test drive one. now that i have a job and money i wanna get my hands on one. Just wanted to know what you all think of the cr and if some guys who have an xb also could chime in with some comparison that would be great thanks

It's been talked about a lot on this board. Get one, just what ever u do don't get rid of the xb! You will regret it. The 1125 is a awesome machine but doesn't seem to have the flickabilty that the xb's do. Dont get me wrong the 1125 still handles like it on rails but u have to seem to work a little more. If it's power ur after the 1125 has plenty of it! Just my 2 cents.

Btw if ur looking for one, I know where there is one for sale but not advertised. It has 60 miles on it and all recalls and programs are done. Shot me a pm..

thanks for the input. i will never get rid of my xb it is my pride and joy, the "goal" is to have one of every buell. we will see how far that goes

Like RED said keep the XB if you get a Cr. I rode a 1125R when they first introduced them and while it was a peppy bike , it just lacked the character of the XBs . It's really hard to describe so i'd suggest a test ride . I've had 3 XBs so i'm a little biased . [smirk]

if i can find one in the spring im ganna test one. it seams all i can find at dealers is red. so i might have to find a private seller

Get the cr, I have an R and its great, but honestly I ride my 2006 xb9s more. I want more Buells too but my wife is pushing the cruiser/harley thing, we'll see what happens.

my gf is tinny so she doesnt mind the back of my ss. still trying to get her to pose for the **** thread. just need more wine next time.
how much of a diff is the power between the xb12 and 1125cr, in feel.

Ur talking about another 44 hp I think. Its pretty hard to discribe. I found that I could ride my xb almost to it's fullest. The 1125 I find myself coming in to corners a little too hot, but when it comes into the apex and out the exit of the corner is where the 1125 really shines. I find myself rolling into the throttle a lot earlier than all the inlines I ride with. Wheelies out of corners rock, it's really hard to keep the front end down on the 1125.

you should ask her what she thinks about the buell porn thread. i think she has something to contribute. and i had this same exact thought today. too funny.

thanks red will do. matt ya im ganna get her on the porn thread soon and great minds think alike. must be a mtu thing

I didn't like the Cr, I was going to sell/trade my XB for one during the fire sales but was not enchanted by the 1125.

yes the power/torque is immense, but it just felt like a big buzzing train.

dull and detached compared to how my XB feels alive if that makes any sense at all.

[up] Love mine but I never had a XB... I did swap bikes with a friend on a Firebolt for a short ride and I would pick the CR any day in a shootout.

in a shootout the 1125 will win every time

but the dang thing gets way too hot for me, daily rides and commutes would be much less fun than on my XB IMO.

for raw power and track days the 1125 all day (but not for me because its more bike than I should have yet, I need an SV650 for starting my track day adventures)

Delta one took the words out of my mouth.

Invest you money elsewhere. Hell Build your own bike. If your in Milwaukee I know a good chopper guy. I do love all buells. However, the only one I will ever own is my xb9r. If its power and torque your after follow this

I've ridden the CR, its one hell of a bike for sure!!!!

I'd love to have one, but I'll still pick my firebolt over it unless it was on a longer trip
