Im taking a long ass bike trip with some guys I work with. I borrowed an HD Ultra Classic rather than ride my XBS for 3500 miles. We've been riding from Indiana out to Idaho, through Yellowstone, Sturgis, and a few other places. If you want to watch my progress you can friend my on Facebook, we check in to wherever we happen to be when we buy gas, eat, get a motel, etc. My name is Matt Luyben on facebook, my profile pic is my dad on a garden tractor.

I'll post some thoughts on the HD later when my phone is charged more.

This Ultra Classic, is a nice bike I guess. It seems to make a lot of noise and not enough hp. I had the throttle pinned on a downhill and couldn't get over 100. The fairing does block a lot of wind, too much imho. I've had all the vents open on my jacket and can't get any air moving through them. But, if its cold or wet it keeps most of the rain off you. The heel toe shifter is been not an easy thing to get used to, after riding it for two weeks I still accidentally shift the wrong way. Plus, I have to lift my whole leg in order to shift rather than just lifting my toes. I do like the hard bags and tour pak, the cruise control, and the radio.

I don't think I will do this again, ride out somewhere far like this with other bikes.
