Was riding on the super slab between Tucson and Phoenix, AZ (I-10) and noticed that my sidestand wouldn't stay up once the traffic slowed down to a crawl approaching Phoenix. Turns out that the stand itself is still intact, but the spring and the S-shaped piece that it attaches to is gone. Didn't see any complete assemblies for sale on e-bay. Anyone have any good ideas on how to fix? I ended up using a bungee cord to hold it in place while I was riding.

Buy one from St. Paul and take the parts off that you need.

Neither of those assemblies you guys posted links to match the sidestand on my bike. '09 1125CR - are you implying that the spring parts are the same, though?

Same rules apply... serch noob!:black_eyed:

Well... I for one, never noticed the forum thread it was on and assumed XB. :upset:, I'm just here for the New Posts anyway:anonymous:

All Buell lives matter! Hahahahaha thanks Outlaw.

All Buell lives DO matter indeed!

Now I’m curious if the parts for an XB would interchange with the CR sidestand… I am really not having much luck searching Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, St Paul HD, or eBay for the spring and the S-shaped piece. Understandably, there’s far fewer 1125 bikes out there than XBs, but also curious if the 1190 sidestand would interchange.

Virtually nothing interchanges between XB and 1125 side-stand assemblies and attachment hardware.

1125 AS FOLLOWS:
STAND RETENTION SPRING PART # L0204.1B6
STAND SPRING ATTACHMENT PLATE PART # VINL0203.1AMD

Few of each still in dealer system. Good luck with your search.

S-shaped piece that it attaches to is gone.

I thought this is the 1125CR forum? LOL

Oh, its an 1125? I thought when you said S-shaped piece you were referring to your XB.

Anyhow, I do have an 1125 sidestand in my collection from when I bought the 1125 motor for Cooter (and other parts). Remind me to huck it in the trash tonight. Good luck with your search.

Haha, seriously? Send me GPS coordinates to your trash, please?

I got both of those parts that Barrett listed from eBay from around $30, new. They were in their original Buell boxes, amazingly enough. Got the sidestand resurrected, but really feel like I need to safety wire the spring clip plate.
