Sin or not?

I'm thinking about painting my new Carbon Seat Cowl black with number plates to match my bike. Just currious to know what you guys think. Painting over carbon fiber is a NO-NO to some people.

Well, my theory on this is....it's your bike. U do what you like, in your taste, to reflect you. To those that critique u for painting carbon fiber, tell them to worry about their own bike. If you buy it, you do what u want to it!!![cool]

I agree but the only thing I would say is why did you get a carbon one if it was to paint over? There was no fiberglass cover available?

i painted over carbon fiber and i think its no big deal. do what you want and like it. its your ride.

i agree it's your ride and paint how you like. I think maybe you should not paint the entire thing, but just the number plates and leave some of the carbon fiber showing. Just so people know. that would be cool.

I agree...and would paint over it either way....just thought I would ask to see what some people think. I would have got the fiberglass bucause I knew I was going to paint it...but bought this from someone for $100. Thats the cheapest I've seen anywhere...fiberglass or not. I cant wait. I'll post pics as soon as its completed.

He'll still do what he wants...he just wanted input on what others thought. We all ask questions here to get opinions, but bottom line, we still do what we please in the end anyways [smirk]
