has anyone ever tried to smoke a amber windscreen? What would work best or is the result bad and not worth it?? Im thinking of getting rid of all my amber and going silver or black..

They have a spray for smoking at autozone. I can't remember the name off the top of my head but you could essentially get the same effect with a very light coat of black paint. you will just have to be very consitent to avoid running/uneven application. I had wanted to go to a smoked windshield myself but I did not want to mess with the stocker so I ended up making my own windshield lol.

If you are looking for something to test on I had read that our windshields would also fit some Suzuki models. I had actually posted a thread about it awhile back but never got around to actually testing it out due to my current financial position.

you're better off buying the translucent smoke windscreen rather than messing with paint, been there done that...surdyke.com $51.96 translucent smoke windscreen, P/N: M0600.02A8MCD, it looks like the Kick Ash plastics for the Lightning

I prefer the herbal type myself. I find that the acrylic gives a heavy flavor and a brutal headache afterwards. That mostly goes for the colored plastics, the clears aren't so bad

Just my .02

Sorry, I couldn't help it :)
