But in the process of trying to get access to the nut I had to remove the exhaust (no problem) then the kickstand, as the kickstand retention bracket was in the way and stopping me accessing the nut...

...One of the kickstand bolts sheared...

On top of that I did my back in.

But at least I have the Primary Chain adjusted now. I can't ride the sodding bike but it sounds good.

So what's the plan on the bolt removal?

As for the back, Harbor Freight has the 1000lb lift for sale for $299 if you sign up to receive emails and their catalog. Their is a coupon for $299. As soon as I get access to a truck, I'll be picking one up!

W00t!? I just adjusted my primary chain few days back, while waiting parts for my front end. Had to remove nothing, exept the inspection cover. The whole process was over under 10mintes... :/

What did you notice after you adjusted it? I don't think mine has been done ever. It's an 07 9sx

Netty: I'm in the UK, so ordering from the USA isn't something I'd normally do :) The plan is to wait for my new bolt removal tool to turn up [LINK] I have a sheared bolt in the current swingarm too. Got another swing being refinished to replace it.

Carlos: Mines an 04 XB12R, so a lot of stuff has seized on it, hence why I couldn't just use a spanner on the nut.

Jason: nothing yet, can't run it! Exhaust is off until I get the bolt out.
