Hey guys, I made this film explaining my research and the general problem of space debris. Let me know what you think!

driftingswiftly, great video and creativity. I like the first idea, but once you throw the items back to Earth what do you do with the debris? Do they burn into the atmosphere?

Just creating conversation ... :) Video was impressive! (Civil Engineering major here)

Cool idea, but you got to work on that name "TAMU Sweeper"! Jk! I went to TCU so you know how us Texas Schools are with naming things after our schools!

Cool video! I can't really wrap my head around the magnitude of this issue and the resources it'll take to make improvements.

Who funds something like this once ideas come to fruition?

thats cool stuff. I went to MTU and a friend of mine helped work on the nanosat project. Our school was fortunate enough to win the competition last year and it will be launched by the DOD. Oculus is the name of their satellite and its going to be used to help track space objects. Something that could play right into your plan of retrieving space objects.

Thanks guys!

bossanova, I have been doing well. Most of my time as of late has been devoted to producing and completing this video.

onelogue, yeah it burns up in the atmosphere and is gone forever.

netty2424, I actually agree! haha, I was against the name, but there were only 2 votes. mine and my advoser's...his counts for more.

konarider94, pretty cool! I think A&M ubdergrads got their nanosat funded the year before. I've never been involved, so I don't know much about it to be honest.

Anyway, if you guys like the video please feel free to share it!!! We are already getting awesome feedback from the community, but we are shooting for an EXPLOSION!
