Speedo Intermittantly failing

G'day Guys,

Just noticed on my last ride the speedo unit was intermittantly showing 0 km/h when riding. would do it on and off.

Before i lose it for another week taking it to the dealership and hoping its under wty still....

its this a common thing?
could a plug be loose somewhere?
any suggestions?

Odds are, it's the VSS or vehicle speed sensor. Shouldn't take the dealer a week to fix it, maybe an hour tops and that's if the tech is loafing pretty bad.

Sometimes if my battery terminals aren't super snug. my xb will do that.
