speedo/odo not working

I am getting my Blast ready for my girlfriend to start riding now that I have a Lightning and I remember that the speedo/odometer stopped worked. I had some work done to the bike and it stopped working shortly after that so I am wondering if maybe the cable came loose.

Can anyone advize me on where to check for a disconnect before opting for a complete gauge replacement. I am hoping this is an easy fix.

I would be willing to bet it is the Vehicle Speed Sensor. I had to replace mine on my Firebolt when I bought it as the they speedo and tach weren't working. I changed that and it works perfectly now. The part wS $60 at the local Harley dealer. I am sure the blast uses the same thing. You might want to replace that first to see if it is the problem. I replaced mine in about 10 minutes.
