speedometer problem

i have a 2002 P3 blast. the speedo lights up and needle flickers when i turn the bike on but when i take off the needle wont move to show speed what can i do[confused]

i have tried a hard reset that a dealer told me to try and it didnt work. my bike only has 3300 ml on it i just got it a week ago it fell over but the speedo still worked i turn it off for about 10 min. and when i started it back up it didnt work need help please[sad]

Funny you posted this. My 03 xb9R speed sensor went out today. Not sure if thats what yours is, but my bikes tach and indicator lights work. The speedo will come on some times, but then goes out. Check out the sensor. im sure your bike would have one too.

^^ thats what I was thinking, not sure if the Blasts use the same system we have tho
