Doing the xb9 primary gear swap into the xb12 and my primary chain form my xb9 is to short and the primary chain from the xb12 seems to long[confused] the xb9 primary gear and chain are from a 2003 xb9r and going into a 2005 xb12r motor, is my 03 chain not compateable with the 05 clutch/tranny sprocket or will the chain tensioner take the slack out[confused] So badly want to get the bike running, thanks in advance

Got it done, very tight tolerances, you must have the chain, from the 9, on the front sprocket and the rear and slide them both on at the same time, not the easiest, but doable, then set proper chain tension, looking forward to ripping it up with this thing:D
