First post here. Love the website, searching has gotten me through many of the 'fun' times with my '06 xb12r.

Heres my issue. Starting yesterday, i noticed that upon acceleration in first gear i would have a surging/loss of power around 1500-3000 RPM. Scary to lose power when making a turn!! I didn't want to blow her up if something serious was wrong so I parked her. First thing I thought was fuel filter/pump, as i've had the same kind've struggling sensation in my Blazer before. I am away at school and dont have access to my shop at home to tear into this. What would y'all check? I will have access to ECMspy within a few days. Does this sound like it could have to do with TPS/AVF? Bad TPS sensor? I'd like any ideas that dont include pulling the fuel pump as i dont have the equipment in Los Angeles to do that.

Background: Battery is good, 10,500 miles, fresh Amsoil change, plugs about 3000+ ago, Jardine pipe, K&N filter, race map, breather reroute (jankily done by previous owner and needs redone)

Thanks!!

Start with tps reset, but after that, check for intake leak, are you being forced to run high ethanol mix gas? I have seen that be an issue too, not sure how the cali guys get around that problem, anyway good luck

Don't know if you have messed with your spark plugs lately. But I had the same issue and it drove me crazy. I tried everything. Then went back to the basics. I found that the front cylinder plug wire was not 100% seated. It's a real bitch to get it seated. I recommend verifying!
