If all goes well, will be picking up my new bike next weekend. :D Need to shove the bike in my one car garage and am looking for a decent straight stand to minimize how much room it takes. Any recommendations?

Don't know about the vortex, but I did not have to spread the GPI to fit my Ss.

Thanks for the responses. I'm looking at the Pit-bull ones... do I get the spool version or the regular version? It is for an R. And I just need the rear one, correct? The front is only for maint purposes?

Front and rear can be used for maintenance. Lifting the rear/front by spools is fine for storage but you need to lift it by the swing arm/tripple tree for any type of maintenance other than an oil change.

If you just want to keep it upright when you park it only the rear is necessary. If you do not have rear sliders you will have to lift it by the swing arm, which the standard version will have.

The swingarm lifts on the pitbull are why I prefer the GPI. On the pitbull they are round and don't seem very stable to me...pretty much every time I lift my bike with the pitbull it wobbles as I lift it and the arms that go under the swingarm "walk" up the swingarm a few inches, usually settling uneven from each other. The GPI has squared off arms that have not walked up the swing arm on me at all. Not sure if that makes sense, I can snap some pics of what I mean if you want.

I have this one. It has the pad lift and spool lifts, and the triple tree lift as well. Just call and order them tell them it is for a buell xb and you want the 10mm spools.

My T-Rex rear has the round padded swing arm lift points and is adjustable for width. If you place it right up against the lower belt guard you don't have to worry about it sliding at all.

I'm not sure if my stands differ from Buell specific ones or not. I picked mine up on craigslist and the owner had just sold his 600RR.
