Stator? Regulator?

Riding home last night battery light came on. Checked bat voltage via instrument cluster and it was down to 12.2 volts. A little further and the Check Eng light came on and said voltage error or something like that in the message area. Got home and battery voltage was at 11.8. I am guessing its going to be the stator or the regulator by reading all the boards. Taking it in tomorrow morning to the dreeded stealership.

could be either... Check the engine codes. it is more than likely the voltage reg though by the sounds of it.

I hope ur right aqfish. I hate taking my bike in for anything. I would rather do it myself, but its under warranty and the guys at Cycle Connection have been pretty nice so far. My local dealer here sucks! Dennys HD, dont buy or go to for sure!

It is just a matter of time before mine goes...I just hope it is before the warranty runs out. Stators are back ordered like 3 months too! HD sucks. [mad]
