Picked up an 08 1125R with 3000 miles from an auction. Starts right up and is real clean despite a very ugly "Venom" Spider motif paint job. Problem is when I rode it in the parking lot the steering was so ******* hard I couldn't believe it. It was fighting me just at 5 mph to make basic left right turns. Didn't have a chance to dig into to it yet since our mech is off until Tuesday, but wanted to get maybe some input from owners. Tire pressure looked OK and I will check it today but it didn't feel like a tire issue. It felt like a geometry issue.

Suggestions?, similar stories? Thanks!

Nope :) well unless it's hidden behind the radiator cowling. I'll check when I go to the shop at 10 but I didn't see it in the quick photo session I did before we closed.

does it move freely when at a stop, I'm trying to rule out bad bearings in the trees

I kinda just rolled it back and forth to get good pics then drove around a few buildings because I had to put it inside and get the other bikes photographed. I'll check that too. I

When i got my tires chanhed, the left and right movement is very easy compared to my old, worn out stock tires.

Just low air pressure, they looked normal :) added 15 lbs. So do the 1125's get engine oil checked just like XB's on side stand or upright?

BTW one of our investors who actually bought bike from auction says it is fast as hell, like a ZX14. Guess I'll take that it home tonight :D

The o8 is checked in up right potition, 010 is on side stand.because the 010 has sightglass wich 08 didnt. I had S1 Lightning for 13 years and i allways kept motor in strong running condition. But the S1 is no match not even close to 1125CR when it comes to performance. The 1125 is light for its class and has at times hit 50klm H higher top end than S1. the six speed tranny is fun as you can ride(for example) in fourth up to 205 klm before you hit red line. but you dont need to as they pull rely well in the higher gears to. Fith gear tops out at 225 klm and so far best top speed has been 253 klm. wich is enough for this 52 year old grey beard:).All on track of course.
Youl see what i mean injoy.:DKIWI

Oh, I got to drive it yesterday and it's ******* fast! I was really impressed with it and I've been riding a Hayabusa and ZX10 for the last week. The brakes are way better than my XB9R for sure, they haul the bike down so fast. Once we do a inspection on Tuesday I'll probably take it home for a few days. It will be for sale in San Diego, only 3070 miles and $6499 :)
