Would anybody happen to know if the stock pipes are any different between bikes? I have a Hawk pipe to try and put on but even with the front headpipe and right rearset loosened up it still will not come close to lining up. Any suggestions? Trying to get rid of this DnD before i go nuts lol

A hawk pipe should fit an xb9 and an xb12 all the same. The only difference was a valve in the exhaust that's non-functioning in the hawk exhausts anyway. What's it doing that it's not lining it? You sure your headers aren't broken or anything like that? I have to get the exhaust slipped over the header and then rotate my exhaust back and forth until it slides far enough up the header that it rests in the exhaust brackets.

The 9 pipes are also single walled vs. the double walled 12 pipes...Not that it will affect what you're having issues with. The header pipe is sometimes a bit stubborn to get on as Upthemaiden mentioned. I used a rubber mallet to persuade mine on. Good luck!

I missed it too, I never check individual forums, just scroll down to the new posts so I never have any idea when someone is posting in the 1125 forum. The guy asking what kind of coolant people use almost got a smart ***** response about me carrying a little spray bottle with water in it to spray on my motor at redlights, but I noticed it was in the 1125 forum at the last second haha.

hey man mine were both the same but talking to the guys at barker they have noticed some Pipes being different sizes. they made sure i measured before they sent my pipe out.
