Swingarm oil fitting differences?

I've got another project underway and will be running an 03 xb swingarm on an 09 xb. Don't ask why.

I am aware that the newer swingarms have the longer oil lines and they go into the front of the arm. The older arms have the fittings underneath.

Question is: are the fitting ends that go into the arm different for the older/newer arms? Or being that I have the longer lines already can I just re-route them underneath and they'll screw right into the older arm?

they are not even close. i just switched from an 05 to an 09 and had to make my own
