swingarm sliders

i saw these today at work and i was wondering if i could use them as sliders. Does anybody know the radius of the axle.

sure can I did something very similar but just machines some at work out of aluminum on the lathe. Then just get some threaded rod and cut to length.

Those would be way too heavy. The store bought sliders only use about 1/4" dia. treaded rods too keep the unsprung weight down.

There is no unsprung weight to keep down since the axle is hollow. Plus I doubt the steel will add even a pound so if the weight was rotational it would only figure out to be an additional 3-4lbs anyway.
