I hope this question isn't too stupid, I'm actually a half decent automotive mechanic, but have never worked on a bike before. I am trying to rebuild my bike from where someone wrecked it... Anyways, how do I get the wheels off of it? BTW, the tool kit flew out when wrecked... Is there somewhere that I can get the right tools other than harley?

Just look on eBay for bell axle tool, I seen a universal one on there.

Get the wheels off the ground (jack, whatever, etc...), loosen the pinch bolts that crimp down on the axles(not sure if the rear has pinch bolts but the front does), loosen the axles(front is reverse threaded, I don't think the rear is). That's about it, should be common sense when you start doing it. You may want to leave the bike on the ground while you break all the bolts loose.

If you don't have an axle tool there are universal ones on ebay, and also the backside of a spark plug socket is a close match and will work in a pinch...

Hey, thanks everyone for the help, i will keep updated with the status of my bike as it goes along and I have more questions!

^Just FYI the 7/8" isn't an exact fit, but works. It is a little loose though. The metric axle tool is a snug fit. I used the 7/8" end of the spark plug socket to get my axle off because I was in a pinch and it dinged the inside faces of the axle a little bit. It works but I'd think repeated use would end up making the axle look like crap. JMO.
