Tested: R1 and FZ8

Just got done testing both a R1 and FZ8. Didnt get to open either one up too much but wow! That R1 cross plane, is by far the most power ive had between my legs, thee FZ8 amazingly comfortable and nimble. Between the 2 i honestly had more fun on the 8, the R1 is too much of a race bike to use as a daily joy rocket. There is potential for an 8 in the future if i dont see specs and pictures released for new EBRs soon

you know i talked to the KTM people at the motorcycle show last weekend about the new 1290 superduke, and they said it wasn't likely it would be coming to the states anytime soon...

Aren't the 1290 superduke and teh R1 totally different style of bike?

I would say a KTM RC8 or BMW S100RR instead of the R1 though (they're probably a couple K more).

Looked really hard into the rc8r after i wrecked my first 1125. Ultimately i felt it wasn't worth spending over twice as much for it as i could get another 1125 for..especially considering they're pretty close performance wise. Super duke is another story tho.
