I started doing some research on the different tire options and am putting the information in one place to help us Buellers more easily decide on the tires for your riding style and conditions. This guide will go through some of the top motorcycle tire manufactures and their various models in the categories of race, hyper-sport road, and sport touring. As well as some pros and cons and expected tread life. I will also include prices per tire from either motorcycle superstore or jakewilson.

Michelin Power Pure
Basic Information
The Power Pure is designed for riders who want to get the most performance out of their bikes and is (in my opinion) the best tire for our bikes. It has a decent tread life to it and performs excellent in dry conditions and handles ok in wet. There are several Michelin technologies in this tire like dual compound medium-soft in the center, soft on the outside for the front and a medium center, medium-soft outer treat for the rear. Also they are the lightest tires in their class (about 2 pounds per pair). The pure is about 88% slick and the tread grooves provide a decent amount of water evacuation for wet days.
Pros
-Excellent grip for spirited road riding and beginner track day riding
-2lbs lighter per pair than the competition
-Long tread grooves to help improve wet traction
Cons
-Center wares out a little quicker if you are not constantly in the twisties
-Not the best in rain
Expected tread life
~5,000 miles
Price
Front-$125.99
Rear-$160.99
Michelin Pilot Power 2CT

The Pilot Power is an all around great tire offering exceptional grip in the corners thanks to the dual compound in both front and rear tires and an intermediate compound in the center to provide longer tread life. The Pilot Power is offered also in a cheaper version that is a single tread compound with the same tread pattern which provides good water evacuation for wet riding, it will also perform well at your occasional track day all tho it is more practical on the road for your average rider.
Pros
-A tire you can have confidence in as an every day rider/spirited rider
-Crossed tread pattern for water evacuation and optimized to take up minimal tread space
-85% slick for maximum tread/road contact

Michelin Pilot Road 3
Basic Information
The Michelin Pilot Road 3 is a new tire from Michelin and a continuation from the previous Pilot Road 2. It benefits from Michelin's dual compound technology with medium compounds in the center and softer compound on the edge for that extra dry grip. What really sets the PR3 from the previous generation is the introduction of x sipe technology adding additional tread sipes in the front and rear tires to greatly improve wet handling.
Pros
-Excellent wet weather traction
-Long tread life
-Does well in the twisties
-Michelin offers a "B" version rear tire for extra load/two up riding
Cons
-Can be squirmy in dry breaking
Expected tread life
~8,000+
Price
Front-$132.99
Rear-$169.99
Rear"B"-$199.99
I will add to this later as i finish up the other manufactures. ENJOY!
