I recently purchased a 2009 Buell 1125CR that had been laid down. There was minimal damage on the bike besides a broken windscreen and headlight assembly. On high beam only one light was working. I took the bike for a ride and had no issues.
However, after getting back to my shop and pulling the broken headlights, headlight assembly and flyscreen off; the bike now reads "theft error" when the key is turned on. I put the headlights back in and it still doesn't work.
I have checked all the fuses and relays I can find in the tail section; all look good. The bike appears to be locked out. I can't hear the fuel pump prime and the gauges are backlit, but the only thing that lights when the key are turned on is the check engine light and "theft error" where East Troy Wisconsin normally scrolls.
I'm at a loss boys. Can anyone help me out?
