I just bought my 05 Buell XB9SX, and my wife has a 07 Blast. Love the bike but figured i would be the only guy around with a Buell.

We went on a ride a couple days ago and a bike is bout to pass me, so i do the standard low motorcycle wave. Next thing I know the guy is giving me a fist pump and cheering. I immediately look his bike over and low and behold it is a Buell. I haven't seen the guy since but it is a good feeling to know that im not the only one on the road.

So if anyone on here lives in southern Illinois and wants to go for a ride, let me know. Maybe all meet up at the local Harley shop and piss them off. [up][up]

I live in northern illinois! was actually going to head south today, but decided against it

I live bout and hour east of St. Louis in a town called Centralia. If you ever make a trip down this way let me know. It would be nice to ride with another Buell.

I only see two other buells in my area, a teen in my town has a blast and my friend who has a lightning

you'll notice them popping up more. Up until I bought mine I had only ever seen 3 in person, this being over the period of about 7 years. After I bought mine I took it out for it's first ride and I passed 2 buells within the first few miles from my house. I see a lot more now. Aside from mine, I think I saw 4 other Buells at bike night this past thursday.

being the outcast has its advantages, but i really wish the parts people at the local Harley Dealership would treat me with a little bit of respect.

Having the "Freak" bike is always a nice conversation starter though.

I have never made it down as far as Kentucky lake on the bike, but i have only had the buell for bout 2 weeks. I just couldn't do long distance rides on my old bike. A GSXR 750 just wasn't designed for comfort.
