I was reading thru a catalog that my co-worker got after ordering some heavy duty woven marine glass for the 40' boat that he's fixing and the catalog has tons of very cool carbon fiber mat and resin. Also some very slick clear gel coats. Theres carbon fiber that is woven in a way that it looks kinda like diamond tread and some that looks like a honey comb its all really cool. They even have some that is pre-impregnated with epoxy resin that u just lay in the mold and bake in the oven and it comes out slick and set up ready to go. The pre-preg. is about $175 a yard, but i could do prolly an air box and flyscreen and maybe chin fairing sides out that, maybe some scoops too. My buddy that's repairin that boat is a fiberglass guru and would be assisting me. He's considering pullin molds off his V-rod and doing the airbox front fender and rear fender in carbon fiber which would cut a ton of weight off of that thing.

I need to come up with some extra plastics to pull molds off of. If nebody has ne busted up ones to donate to the cause that'd be awesome. I would of corse pay shipping or if u have some POS ones u'd sell very cheap.

I'll try and find that suppliers web site and post link.
Oh, they also sell carbon fiber in tubes, kinda like chinese finger traps that i could do mufflers in if i get good @ it. And they have colored carbon and kevlar weaves, all kinds of cool stuff.

Here's on of the many corvettes the fiber glass guru has built for the owner of the dealership i work @.
