I´m thining about doing an airbox mod.

I bent and cut some aluminium that I had at home just to test. If I decide to do this I will fasten the scoops with black allen bolts every inch along the edge.
What do you guys think about this mod and also about the shape of the scoops?

Done right with some button head allens to hold it down, that could look really good! I'd add a brushed finish to them against the black.[up]

I think some nicely aligned rivets to attach it, and the brushed finish would def. give it a sweet machined look.

Rivets would definitely look sweet. Just use silicone around the base to seal it against the box before rivetting. Wipe off the excess when it gets squeezed out from under the edge and you'll have a great seal.

Thanks for the positive coments BUT i´m not really happy with the shape of the scoops myself.
Any ideas?

Dogge- For shape, you might want to try a slightly thinner gauge aluminum and bend the sides of the scoop a bit more vertical if that makes sense. That way they'd stand off the airbox more and make the scoops more pronounced but still smooth flowing.

I like your idea and I have thought about doing the same. I think it might look better if you did it more like this
