Thinking of Selling

Well I'm thinking of selling my 09 1125r. An old injury is really flaring up lately and the bike is probably not helping. 4 pins in the shoulder from an army done surgery are just not getting better.

Any ideas on what I should sell it for? It is an 09 with a brand new 10 engine, Harley Davidson Extended Warrenty is good until 2013 on it. 3800 total miles, 500 on the motor.

Hate to sell but I'm thinking that this riding position isn't going to work for me anymore.

I would say $6500 area. Just a guess. Sorry bout your injuries brah. Good luck with the sale. I would say post some pics on this site in the for sale section.

why did the motor need replaced at such a young "age"?

Not sure, Dealer took the bike in on a trade. During a post trade inspection the engine was pinging. I talked to the mechanic who did it and he said it was replaced as a precaution. I'm glad he did cause I benefited. It was the HD dealer in Round Rock, TX.

I would say start at $7500 and go from there simply because it has a new motor an warranty, you can always drop the price if you don't get any hits, just remember you can't raise the price once you realize it is worth more. My 2¢

Don't sell. You own a piece of american history right now. 5 to 10 years down the line I see them starting to be worth a little more.

Ever think of adjusting the bars and pegs for a less stressing riding position?

You could use a Lightning upper triple clamp and high rised bars.

It has the sight glas oil fill?

Likely just had a loose stator nut but new engine is cool selling point

Just checked, can cash out the warrenty. I'm thinking I'll probably sell it, look for something a little more upright. Love the buell, though. Not in a hurry to do anything. Probably will cash out the warrenty tomorrow.
