So I'm about to put the damn thing fully back together finally, and what do I find? A freaking ring of fluid on the right fork, the one I didnt replace. Additionally, When I was putting everything together the stem took a little coersion to get in the head with the new bearings, turns out that it was just ever so slightly bent.
That puts the total new parts to:

(so far)
left fork
top triple
front fairing stay
windscreen
subframe
oil cooler return line
oil and filter
misc. hardware

Plus, a repair job on the top left subframe mounting tab involving many layers of professional grade JB Weld and some woven roving layers. 3 out of 3 places I took the frame to couldnt get the bead to stick to that cast aluminum.
Pictures soon. Honestly, It looks kinda shady, but I beat the hell out of it with a hammer and it didnt go anywhere, the question is, will the thread hold up? Ya'll will get a laugh out of it I'm sure.

Now added to the list is a left fork and bottom triple. Luckily, I could care less about cosmetic damage.

The thing I am worried about is that I still haven't been able to even think about turning it on. So far, roughly 22 or 2300 into the thing. I'm very afraid that I am just throwing my money away on it, Problem is I still owe 4200 bucks on it.

Anyone want to trade a track bike for an XB?

You should've done both forks at the same time; lesson learned. Sorry Bud.

The theory is the right seal takes more abuse than the left due to brake dust.

Anyway, hope you get her back together very soon, good luck.

...but your best bet is to try to trade for the Uly!
