if given the chance to own any 1 of the 3, which would you choose /why??? thanks so much for the input[up]

so the cityx has the polished frame and the xb12s has the black??
also, would you consider the difference in motor size a big difference...also, do you know if the city x is smaller than the xb12??

A xb9sx and a city x is the same thing. Its just a regular xb9s with handguards, headlight grill, higher seat, and a x on the airbox

9s have gray frames 12s have black frames except the 2009 and 2010's u could get 9's withblack frames

ok,,,i'm thinking the 12 would be more suited to open roads, whereas the city would be better locally...
would the comparison of an 883 sportster to a 1200 be fair??
thanks

i hear ya,,,thanks for the insight...i'm...(luckily) faced with the choice of an xb9city or an xb12scg...unable to see/siteither...however,both bikes sound worthy...ill be riding more of an open air atmosphere, but love the feel of the small bar hopper for coffee runs...luckily the decision seems somewhat unconsequential...thanks dude

Also you should know the Scg model is the shortest of them all. 28.5 seat height on the XB12scg and the XB9Sl.
The 9 city X is a standard framed bike I believe 30.5 inch seat height. Just an FYI :)

They are going to feel the same sitting on them for the most part, the scg as stated is the shortest buell. Either will be fine, I went from a m2 to a 9 and prefer the 9 motor over the 12.

never rode the 12 but have an xb9sx and love it. Don't feel like I'm missing power anywhere. and the torque... oh the torque...

what did you ride before?

ps i'm 6'2 190lbs and use stock seat/peg setup. it doesn't feel cramped or anything for being such a short bike.

i've owned 3 buells. xb9 cityX, xb9 firebolt, xb12 ulysses. i'm 6ft and 195 pounds. the cityX is very comfortable, great motor, good gearing, tons of torque, a ball to ride. a hooligan machine if you will.
i found the firebolt too uncomfortable for me but some guys don't mind the clip-ons and factory seat pad at all. fav though is my ulysses. comfort and handling, great motor, great MPG, rare at least around here, always gets lots of WTF is that thing comments. which i enjoy. :D
