Throttle Body Assembly ?

BPG, I'm looking into creating my own version of a F.A.S.T. intake...but since I'm lazy I wanted to know if you knew the ID or OD of the Throttle body assembly? My goal is to find an appropriate adapter and mount a cone filter to it. Your expertiese is greatly appreciated.

I finally got around to moding my own FAST intake....it looks like the throttle body assembly is 2 5/8 inch or 66mm Outside diameter. on my XB9SX at least

BPG...can you see any problems with mounting a filter straight to the throtle body?

and are all throttle bodies the same throught the XB line?

the only reason im concerned is that the expensive euro FAST kit comes with an aluminum flange that you bolt the filter to.

Shouldn't be any problems mounting it directly to the TB as long as you brace it enough to hold its weight, but still allow it to move with the engine.

XB9's are all the same and XB12's are all the same. 9's and 12's are different. 12's have larger ones.
