Ok cleaning and inspecting today discovered my throttle cable near the throttle body is broken. Its the lower cable of the 2. When looking at parts they are listed as "throttle cable" and "idle cable" i assume its the "idle". This might also turn into a disaster cause its the threads snapped. It does not seem to affect my throttle movement, how important isthis cable anyways?

One opens the throttle and the other one is used to force it closed if it sticks. You dont need the return cable but its a safety thing.

One is a pull cable, and one is a push cable. There's redundancy for safety. If the pull cable snaps or the throttle sticks you can force it closed by pushing the throttle closed and the push cable pushes the TB closed.

The cable hasnt snapped and based on your description of its function it will still do what its meant to. But a new one to be order soon

If your Lower cable is worn it is the Throttle Cable to make you go down the Road.
The Upper Cable is your Return Cable to help you slow down, smoothly along with a return spring that is mounted at the Throttle body.
PLEASE replace the Cables as a set. Cycle Pirates has those sometimes in stock. Some Innox Cable Lube will keep you with less wear and smoothness. Also works really well on the Clutch Cable.check the Wear on the Plastic Throttle Tube while you are at it.
Ride Safe. *Jimi
