I found a few older threads on replacements for the throttle sleeve/tube. Was replacing my worn grips and my throttle sleeve is cracked. Seems like the plastic has become brittle. Anyone have a current recommendation for replacement?

Didn't ask for suggestions on where to find a replacement throttle sleeves. I have found plenty of websites and throttle sleeves.

What I am looking for are recommendations for a replacement. The older threads noted the Motion Pro for an R6 will work but will need modded. After about 30 minutes searching online, I found a variety of them made from plastic, to Nylon, to milled aluminum, from, $8 to $80, but haven't found any that indicate they fit an 04 Buell XB12S, or a Buell in general.

Instead of spending time searching online and gambling on ordering one, I turned to the wisdom of my fellow Buellers. I figured that this has to be a somewhat common problem that someone has faced and figured out. So, don't reinvent the wheel.

I would prefer a new replacement, not used and potentially brittle plastic like the one I am replacing, that will fit, doesn't need modded, especially in the switch housing, and doesn't change the throttle pull. If that isn't possible, a quality replacement with minimal modding required.

It's like turn signals, tires, tires, chains, mirrors, master cylinders, grips, bulbs, fuses, bolts, connectors, bearings, and 1000 other parts on your bike, as in not very bike specific if you know the measurements for what you are looking for.

Outlaw is right, because what you want is a "7/8" (22mm) dual cable throttle tube". Probably $5-$15. 99% will slide on perfectly without any mods and last another 20 years.

What you don't want: is a R/6 conversion (bigger), '1/4 turn throttle', fancy race stuff, outthinking the non-issue of a 20 year old plastic thing failing, or searching for a "Buell XB" anything that will end up costing you $180.
