Well its time to build my motor
been wanting to do it for a while and finally got the cash.
Anyway wanting to do the heads want to do pretty big cams and maybe big bore or just stock 1200 with high compression.
My bike is a xb12r with or will then have micron full exhaust and open air box full dyno tuned
Basiclly i just want to get some suggestions.
What have anyone else done.
what cams what head work maybe a different full exhuast system open to all ideas so please help me out.[smirk]

Prior to my last mod, all the work that I did I tried to be conscious of mapping. I tried to do what I could with minimal impact on the fueling system.

With this, you need to decide if you are going to spend the money and time to generate a new map or have someone to it for you.

Here is one of my mods. I had Axtel Sales perform this work and I assembled.

11.2:1 domed pistons.

Yeah i have 10hrs of dyno time factored in also is it still a 1200 or a 1250?
Are you happy with it?

Its still a 1203 plus 0.010.

I like it, the bike pulls strong thru the rpms. I still would like more power!!

I also removed rotational mass from the crank. This allow's the motor to spool quicker. This was done in two ways: first by replacing the OEM parts in the primary with CNC'd Aluminum parts and secondly I CNC'd 12oz. off of the stator rotor.

Increased throttle response.

This store has the primary/clutch parts.

O i mean all the mods together like the motor work and everything. How does it feel over stock..

The bike is quicker and pulls hard. The motor feels stronger than a 1203.

Cubic inch has been the surest ways to get big numbers in the past, today?

There is a bolt-on turbo kit coming out this year for our XB Buells. You might want to research this as a possibility.

Yeah i also looked into the actually aerocharger it self and it seems like a good turbo to build a kit from on a buell. It has no oil lines as it is self oiling can be mounted anyway i belive has really fast spooling Would not be hard to build a kit my self from..

I also called the company making the kits he told me between 6-8 weeks till finshed he said it is a complet kit intercooled also will come with tuning softwear priced around 5300. Said it should make around 125hp at the wheel. He said they are just waiting on hot weather basiclly to finish testing.
I am really interested in it

how are they fueling this? I work at Harley Davidson, and I work next to a tech and what he does all day is attempt to find a way to fuel a big bore kit or a turbo setup.

To our knowledge it is not possible for our injectors to produce too much more fuel. We both have similar bikes, 05 xb12's with race kits, we are both very nearly at the limits of our injectors capabilities. I've read of turbodoc drilling out his injectors, but how? They are angled...

If anyone has any ideas other than VRod injectors please please PM me, I have been researching this for quite some time now and I'm about to just plain give up on a 120+hp semi reliable xb.

someone posted on here somewhere that thers a 1025 er sumthin kit for the xb9r, and a response of someone replacing some parts from a twelve, gearing or something made his front tire hard to keep down, if this isnt too vague someone please help me find it, been looking for two hours
