so i did a tps reset again today to settle out a rough start issue... on the how to is says run the tps to 5.1 to 5.9 percent... so i did that let it warm up to 140C like they said and in order for my idle to be around 1050... my tps is at 7.1%.... is this ok and/or normal? 2003 xb9s lightning

Should not be that high. After TPS % stopped dropping and you hit reset did you back out adjustment cable at least two more turns? I back mine out as far as it can go after reset, then bring it back up.

Its 5.1-5.9 degrees...not percent. 7.1% is perfectly normal...mine is 6.9% or 5.8 degrees with a very steady 1k idle.

Yea I seem to always have to refer back to the manual on that one. I remember the first time I did a TPS reset I was like WTF is wrong with my bike...I set it at 5.1% (not degrees) and now it won't run haha.
