No special way in particular. It's just run out at curved and cable tied in place at the end. Mine was binding and caught on one of the bolts on top of the rocker box on the front cylinder. If you did a breather reroute (depending how) or ran other wires under the airbox, it can get crowded. If I don't want to take the air box bottom off to make sure its clear while doing the TPS reset, I generally slide one finger up inside the frame along the length of the cable to lift it make sure its not making contact with the bolt.
Another option is to cut a length of 3/8" fuel/radiator hose (like we use for the reroute)to size and make a sleeve for the cable so no matter what it will turn inside the piece of hose.
