Tps reset, code reading, light tuning

I just bought my 2004 xb12s. And wondering what its the best set up to reset the tps and read codes? And it has a stage 1 exhaust upgrade and k&n air filter, will the computer adjust for these changes or do I need to manually adjust for this using a tuning program? I don't have a computer yet (I use my droid) do I need a laptop? Pc? Or is there a hand held issue? And I'm reading about alot of problems with the ecmspy.....is it really that hard to use?
