Tranny ideas

Anybody know about the feasibility of the Baker (or other for that matter) 6 speed tranny with a XB9 primary pulley on a 2006 XB12R? And check out the April Cycleworld for a really radical Lightning.

The Baker 6 speed DOES NOT fit XB models....

Application: 91-03 Sportster/Buell (except XB9 & XB12)

BPG, does my idea make sense? Is their an existing way to accomplish this? I used to be a tool and die machinist, but as it stands now I haven't the tools nor the time to fabricate anything myself.[confused]

To my knowledge, I haven't seen a 6 speed conversion that works on a XB yet. The XB9 pulley conversion work nicely if you dont do lots of freeway driving

baker 6 speed is an upgrade only to the 03 buell even though baker says it fits to 04...(our suppliers site) I work at Barnes Harley in B.C. Canada and i have a salesman there that has been asking me the very same thing

It say 91-03 because it fits those Sportsters. They were just to lazy to put a fitment on the Buells of

91-02 Buell

Thank you way. This is one of the biggest misconceptions out there. People see 03 Buell on the fitment and go nuts, without taking time to realize that there is now way it will work.
