Trans question

I hate to beat a dead horse (I've looked through some of the trans posts) but I was wondering if it would be possible to just swap in 6 speed guts into a firebolt trans case. A harley guy I know change his 4 speed to a 6 speed by doing that. Any ideas?? Would any parts interchange off of a harley?? Or is it just wishfull thinking??

different sprocket; door size i think. its possible though, ive seen it somewhere b4.

No. There is no trap door in the tranny. Its not going to happen without lots of money, and it will be one off. No company would see it worthwhile for such a small brand, small dead brand.

nope, chain coversion is your best, least cost, option with this problem.. i did it and would never go back to it.

belt highway riding = 80 mph @ approx 4,000 rpm
chain driven highway riding = 80 mph @ 3350 rpm

i will admit i lost some torque, but its still very possible to pop a wheelie. its not a drastic loss in torque
