Im going on day 2 of trying to get Tunerpro to work on my laptop. I'm running Vista. It loads on the screen fine but as there after it gives me a "Data Extrusion Prevention" message. I've tried the fix windows has suggested but I cant seem to figure it out....tried running as admin..looked for help on Tunerpro website....nada. Anyone else have this problem?

Thank you for the reply however neither solutions solved the problem.
New twist...I can open Tunerpro and not do anything, just look at the home srceen and it stays on. But, as soon as I click the "open bin" tab I have about 4 sec. before it crashes. Thoughts?

Or, perhaps someone who knows about tunerpro can chime in and help with a solution as to why it crashes every time I click on Open Bin? Tried Tunerpro forum...dead end.

At this point its probably best to completely uninstall tunerpro reboot and reinstall as administrator if UAC is enabled yet.
Also maybe check the eventlogs for errors generated when it crashed. I guess maybe i should ask are you a savvy computer user?

Thanks for the suggestions tried them all. It would sure be nice if Tunerpro was any help at all. Can't even register for the website. Figures..par for the course i guess.

Cool your jets, dude. It's one guy who does all the developing for the software, and he has offered it to the community for free. You didn't pay for it, and itt is not his fault that you are having computer issues, though I certainly understand they can be frustrating.

Dean is not incorrect: Vista is notoriously difficult to work with, and I have much more success using either XP or 7 when I'm tuning with clients' computers. You may also want to consider trying an older version, in case a recent build is causing some sort of bug in your system.

I understand and appreciate the effort the developers have put in with the software. I even went out and looked at buying a new laptop just for this but I can't stand Windows 8..lol. Will the software work with Windows 8? If this is the case I'll just buy a new computer. I'll try an older version and see what happens....thanks for the suggestion.

Back up your data, bookmarks, etc.
Get this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116983

Wipe the drive clean with a new/clean install. Should take a couple of hours depending on how much you have to save. Tuner pro works fine with win7.

If you don't want to go that route, I probably have an un-used copy of win-xp laying around that I could let go for $50, but personally I'd go with win7.

Just located and installed an older copy of tunerpro and no luck. Hate to say it but a new laptop is probably the way to go. Time for an upgrade anyway. Business write off [smirk].

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll let you know the outcome.
