Looking for some help with tuning. It seems like the current version of ECMSpy (2.0.31.2) can't flash .txt files (I already have the tunes) directly and they need to be converted. How is this done? I've searched and cannot find a direct answer or process other than with the older software versions.

2004 XB12S with a BUEGB ECM.

I looked and didn't see that, but I use TunerPro and ECMDroid. I swear I saw steps for that but I may be mixing a couple procedures together...

Unfortunately I don’t have an Android device at the moment, but if that’s a solution I can find one.

Sorry, can't help you with ECMSpy, but you can use a Windows emulator on your Mac to run Android stuff, but honestly it's much easier to get an Android burner phone. You probably have a buddy with a couple in the kitchen drawer and you don't even need a SIM card.

Cant help ya on that one either, however...

I just started messing with my tune, and my procedure is:

datalog with a tablet
transfer log/ecm data to computer
MLV the datalog
Tunerpro to make changes, and then to burn to the bike.

Rinse and repeat.

Obviously missing the required steps to setup the ecm in order to datalog. Which also depends on what your tweaking. I'm only working on my WUE. I take notes on how it first starts and tweak from there.

I've got it figured out, the key was to find an old version of ECMSpy and following this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Si4uTol-J-I&t=611s. Low RPM driveability is much better, as is butt-dyno responsiveness. I had to run it around town slowly for ~20 miles to let it adapt after a TPS reset. Hopefully this helps anyone looking to do the same in 2020.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!!!!

I am being serious. So many times, people solve their issue and don't report back.

You are awesome sir!
