I've got an 03' Xb9 that I have put a 12 Throttle body in. What is the best way to go about tuning it? I planned on getting ecmspy and doing it myself with some data logging. I've never used ecmspy before so am I bitting off more than I can chew? I'm open to other options so let me know what you guys think.

I think it depends on your background. Do you have knowledge of the fundamentals? What are fuel maps, how O2 sensors operate, closed loop vs open loop, etc? If so, you should get up to speed with ECMSpy once you start using it. Data logging is the way to go. But it's important to read up on the Buell ECM to understand how it uses the AFV parameter!

Okay guys the bike should be finished in the next week or two. The bike is not running yet, I've been busy with school and spring break is coming up so I plan on doing as much as I can that week. I had a few thoughts and want to see if there good ideas or if I'm just crazy/stupid.

Could I put a 12 fuel map on there and then add in the extra rev range of the 9?

Do a side by side comparison of a 12 and 9 and try o find my over laps as far as fueling/spark/timing and build a custom map?

let me know what you guys think.
