Heres a question for you all
Uly has a couple more degrees rake compared to the others.
Is this extra rake built into the frame or is it due to the suspension setup.
I have a 05 lightning doing dragbike duty.
Also have a Uly swingarm and frame. (Was only after the swingarm but ended up with the frame as well)
Original plan was to fit the longer swingarm to my S but if the uly frame as a couple more degrees built into it I may swap the frame as well.
thanks

I'm no expert on Buells but I'm sure the frame is the same on the Uly as the SS, STT. According to Buells website:

Rake (Steering Head Angle) at Ride Height (degrees) and fuell capacity:

X SS Scg
23.5 23.1 21
4.4 4.4 3.82

4 tenths of a degree isn't much. The X sits slightly taller than an SS due to it's different spring and fork setup, which is safe to say that it's all in the suspension. If your comparing the X to the Scg or plain S, then it's 2 different frames. Hence, smaller fuell capacity.
Easiest thing to do is run down to the Harley dealer and see if they can cross-check part numbers on the frame for the different bikes.

Thanks for that
What I wanted to compare it to was a Lightning frame.
I wish to lower the bike and have as much wheelbase as I can. (Just using what I have)While an extra 2-3 degrees rake isnt much every little bit helps. I could pick up a few degrees by letting the front rise up a bit compared to the back but if I dont have to all the better.
thanks
