John422 informed me that he removed a valve actuator from the throttle body. It is located on the left side of the throttle body and has a cable that connects to the throttle body. What is this used for and can I remove it. He told me that it improved throttle response. He said that all he had to do was purchase a dummy plug from the dealership.. anyone heard of this.. or john422 can you give more info for everyone else as well.. thanks

Thank you stensg. but is the resister really needed then.. sounds like some people didn't install that. they just removed the solenoid.

If you have the ebr ECM the engine light will shut off. But if you have the stock ECM you will show the engine light.

Elimination of the epa mandated noise control. 3rd gear, going to wot produces too much noise at 3500-5000 rpm, so that device actually pulled the throttle plates closed, even though YOU want it to go faster. To me, it was actually dangerous to have it on there, if you're passing or pulling out in traffic and NEED to go faster, this thing could potentially get your butt run over.

Scared the **** out of me the one time it happened to me. It was removed as soon as I got home from that ride and I count myself lucky to have made it home. I damn near got run over by an 18 wheeler.

When I had mine on it definitely felt like a different machine. Without it is so much more consistsant and predictable
Edit: and it's THERE when you want it to be

Doubt it. Then it might think it's not working Because it's not moving and throw a code. Just go to harley spend 5 dollars free shipping if you ship it there. And then take it all out. Save weight and it easy and cheap.

Local Harley dealer that has my bike had one on the shelf so I told them to throw it in with my invoice and I'll have it sat to install when I get the bike back
