This has been talk for quite some time now. Im a huge volkswagen/audi but i dont think they should have bought ducati. I think if anything it might ruin ducati...

Its just a buyout. The majority of the ducati management team is remaining intact.

I don't know. They put Bugatti back on the map! I am a big VW fan. They seem to be able to blend Italian styling and German engineering pretty well. AWD lambos....yes please!!

Ducks have had their electrical issues from time to time, they will fit right in.

The Volkswagen group is HUGE ! Volkswagen, Seat, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Skoda, Mann, Skania, Ital Design and now they're in line to take over Porsche after Porsche tried to take over VW and now Ducati is added to the group. They have improved production and quality of every brand they have taken over so I see this as a bonus for Ducati because this group has some deep pockets and besides Ferdinand Peich ( VW head honcho and Porsche family member) tried to obtain Ducati in 2008 but didn't have a good enough offer. [smirk]

Yep, read about it yesterday. Kind of taken back, but I think overall it is a good move for all. Kind of hate to see the Italian ownership go away. I hope they retain / preserve the Ducati company culture.
