I've seen them around DFW for the price range you're looking at. The key is patience and research.
Also, I agree with Red93stang, the 2010 in Austin would be cool.

I helped break that bike in! (and it was broke in nicely..) took a 2 hour ride on it with only a couple hundred miles on the clock, it was very hard not to rev that girl up!! But I had plenty of chances later

The day he (Kevyn) bought that bike we were going to look at some jackets, first stop was the Buell dealer when they roll that out and he just couldn't say no!
I never got to even look at jackets!

I tried talking him into keeping it, it was a good bike. With the high bars on it, it rode like a dream! ( Think he put the clubmans back on before selling )
