Well it finally happened, I got pulled over!

Yep, after 3 or so years riding! It was only a matter of time anyways

It was a State boy, actually pulled me over in construction zone where he was just doing traffic control. He had supposedly had a 'cold call' by someone who I had passed earlier on my ride. My g/f was with me and sure we were moving along but certainly not reckless or endangering anyone that deserved a call to the cops.

He was a dick at first but cooled down and we chatted for a few. It was kinda funny, he said 'you know you were hauling ass'. He never ran my license and just sent me on my way! Woohoo [up]

I had one of those, I was going 55 or less in a 55, I lost a bolt in my linkage so I was stuck in 5th. the cop passed me going the other way and followed me when I turned so I turned into the parking lot of a farm equipment store. told me I was reported for standing on my seat, I had stood on my pegs to stretch my legs. I didn't have my insurance or registration because I forgot to put them in my bike when I got everything put back together the night before. we chatted for a bit, he stood there and laughed at me while I used an allen to pump my shifter back down into a low gear so I could actually get it to a store.

overall he was a nice guy, and very understanding since he liked the bike and got me on radar doing 53, I guess he expected more.

many times just pointing out the violation with a smile and being nice goes a long way....and sometimes it doesnt...lol. 98% of people that is all you have to do.
