Yup I pulled the trigger and just bought my dads friends 97 3000gt vr4. I wish I could have put the 6500$ into my buell but I don't think they handle well in the snow:(. But god damn is this car fast and a blast to drive! It's like a buell with 4 wheels and awd!!

sorry about the pic size and quality. but this is it

i about bought a VR4 Gallant a few years back, i wish i would have because it was a great deal!! 4500 for a car that had less than 90k on the odometer.

I did test drive it, and JEEEEEEEZZZZ was that an awesome car! a true sleeper if i've ever seen one!

So you got yourself a twin-turbo stealth that's what dodge called it,anyway watch it they go boom same engine as a 3 liter minivan, your looking at head gaskets, valve guides, rings, these engines run so hot they clog the oil lines to the turbos and god help you if the timing belt snaps DOHC V-6 (INTERFERINCE ENGINE)Remember to let idle for one minute before you shut the key off!!!! I was a mopar tech for 20 years, short block and heads took me a week 8 hours a day it comes out the bottom by the way,the front DIFF is a real peach
:p

Stayin' positive I see. ;o)

Grats on the new car sledhead!

Cool car! I never knew much about them so just did some research. At first I was relatively unimpressed with ~315 hp and ~315 lbft, but it says it runs the 1/4 mile in 13.7 sec. Not to shabby for a nearly 4,000 lb car with (relatively) low hp and torque numbers. When I saw 315 hp I was thinking 14's or 15's in the 1/4 mile.

Looks like it has a lot of other cool features as well.

Good buy :)

Well thanks for the heads up.... Kinda. I grew up in a family owned auto shop. It has a new timing belt head gaskets. My dads friend is a f ing genius when it comes to cars. He has a 1200hp Daytona boat all engine work him self, he re did all the oil lines and rebuild the turbos. But again thanks for looking out.

I worked for Mitsubishi from 1990-1994 as an area part/service rep. They had really awesome cars in that time with the 3000GT and the Eclipse GSX (turbo, awd) and the Galant VR4. I remember the launch of the 3000GT and was fortunate enough to thrash a bunch of them. What Tyler said about the mechanicals is true but just go out and enjoy the hell out of it man . [up]

A guy i knew when i was in tech school had a tuned up AWD stealth. Drove it a couple of times... Wicked fun, especially drifting on gravel. Helped him put a Stillen down pipe and full length 3" borla exhaust on it. sounded friggin awesome! Enjoy;)

Loctite and safety wire everything! ..wait, nvm thought you bought a buell. :p Nice car.
