Well im looking for a good alternative to my camelback that I use for the quad. What kind of bags/packs are you using. I have saddlebags that came on my xb12r, but im not digging them. (anyone wanna buy em) Anyway, I really like the Sling bag buell was giving away with test rides but cannot find them anywhere. Anyone know where to get them now?

Bought the bike in Jersey off a buddy. Bags just arent my style. Send a pm and make an offer. Ill post up some pics in a bit. I love the Buell sling bag but its nowhere to be found.

I'd like to see the condition of the bags before throwing numbers around.

I've never been to impressed with Buell brand bags. I had a tank bag and hated it. If you want a sling, REI sell some good quality bags. Just throw a Buell patch on one and there you go, a GOOD buell sling bag

I've been very pleased with my Ogio. [up]

I would love to see that thing go down the road, with a whooping 125cc engine.

It does appear he beefed up the susp by adding an extra shock/coil spring..........[smirk]

Whats that by the back tire? WHeelie bar? ha

I'm guessing that with all the weight right above the rear tire, getting too aggressive with the throttle will pop that front end up with no troubles at all.

I got my back pack at wal-mart for 8 bucks. It's awesome, multiple pockets very durable and has been through hell and back. Love it

I ride with my quicksilver skateboard backpack. Bought it in 04 right before I started Auburn and its made it through motorcycle rides, tailgates, camping, moving, parties, skateboarding, hiking, and a pet husky... you name it and it's done it for 6 years. So far it has a 1 broken clip on the strap that secures the main shoulder straps across the chest (the husky)

edit: oh yea forgot to mention it was my only backpack for class as well

I just have a LL bean pack i had used back in high school. been beat bad and works great. only down fall is after riding at high speed for a while the zippers like to start to open, i just snap a carabiner on and problem solved. the pack also has a bladder in it so you can keep hydrated too. works surprisingly well. no need to stop to drink.

Messenger bags can be great. I use one for going to meetings, and I can even fit my laptop in it (good for ECMSpy logging runs). I like it because if you get a good one with a second strap to keep it around the back (goes around the body, while the main strap is over the shoulder), then the bag just sits right behind you on the seat, so you aren't really carrying the weight.
It's nice to be able to take your stuff with you easily, and leave the bike looking clean.
I ended up keeping the saddlebags on my Ss that came with the bike, because I end up having to stop off at the store a lot on my way home. Useful, but I wish they weren't there.
