09 1125r with fmf apex an race ecm
bike starts great an idles good soon as you get on the throttle it spudders an cuts out during aceleration some times even pop through the air box any ideas what could be wrong it only did it soon as I install the race ecm

Did you do the TPS reset? And follow the directions as far as letting the bike idle for x minutes etc? You can go into diagnostics on a 1125 to see on board what the TPS is doing.

with the key off press and hold both buttons on the gauge cluster and turn the key on.

Is your fuel kinda old? My 1125 sat for over a year with fuel in the tank. When I got it running it ran fine with the stock ECM and old fuel. I then put the race ECM on and when I rev the bike quickly in neutral it would hesitate and back fire. Once I put fresh fuel in the tank the hesitation went away.

Just put new fuel in an also sea foam fuel treatment. It runs fine on stock ecm. Just got the race ecm back from recalibration an I talked it an won't run right makes no sense to me

Pull the air box cover and lower cover, on the right side of the engine should be a MAP sensor with a vacuum line. Possible the vacuum line has come off.

Hello guys!

Can some one explain me about what are you talking here?

What the TPS is? why you need to reset it and how to do it?

What is diag mode what for you need it
how to start it and how to read it???

Thank you guys.
Im new to buells

Thank you

any current 1125 owners please chime in and make any corrections to what I'm typing because its been years since I owned one...
To get into diagnostic mode
1. turn key and engine kill switch to off
2. press and hold both buttons on dash and turn the key to on and release both buttons on the dash
3. toggle through to tps reset
4. roll the throttle from wide open to closed until the reading is 100 and 0
5. turn key to off position
6. turn key to on position, flip the kill switch to on
7. Start the bike and ride

TPS stands for throttle positioning sensor, it tells the computer what percentage of the butterfly in the intake is open with the percentage of throttle that is open; the two of these need to be in correspondence with each other. Anytime you disconnect the ecm from the bike the tps needs to be reset. When the ecm doesn't read the proper percentage of tps, the amount of fuel and spark the ecm thinks it needs and what the bike really needs for the amount of air coming into the motor are out of wack.
I hope this helps and I hope I remembered how the tps gets reset on the 1125. I had to do it in oct. 2009 when I installed a keda pipe and haven't owned that bike since 2010 so my memory is really jogging. Maybe there is a youtube video on how its done.

Hey new to the board but having same issue. Did you ever find the root cause? I have an 08 1125r that seems to experience a major miss or fuel cutout randomly with EBR ECM. I have changed injectors with 09 injectors, replaced fuel rail, fuel pump, de-noid, irridium plugs, and new coils to try and track down the issue. Bike runs fine on stock ecm but very lean with crazy popping on decel. 110/115 f-fuel adapt and 105 rear with stock ecm. 100/100 with EBR! Just not safe in a corner when fuel cut out or miss fire seems to randomly arrive. Any ideas what the next step would be?

Hi, if you can record a data log session (ex: Tunerpro RT, ECMDroid MSL) with the EBR ECM that demonstrates the problem, I'll be happy to review it. And welcome to the forum!
