I got a 04 XB12R with a carbon Jardine, no belt gaurds, no rear fender, no passenger pegs, normal type battery. Michelin Pilots, stock mirrors. What do you think it weighs with an empty tank and with a full tank.
Reson I ask is bc some nug with a GSXR600 tried to convince me that I weighed about 460 with a full tank.. I laughed at him, thats impossible. more like 390-400 lbs I told him.

Mine weighed 413 on a certified scale with about a quarter tank of gas. No street gear. The lightest Buell weighed that weekend that I heard of was 389.

I'd guess a street Buell is probably 425-440 pounds depending on how full the tank is.

so a gallon of gas weighs about what 6 lbs?.. so about 15 lbs of fuel .. so around 410 empty but with battery. how does that compare with the top 600s out there? Should be around the same right?

Ok Tony, thats about what Im thinking now, about 410 with an empty tank.. whats our true fuel capacity 3 Gallons? I never really bothered to check.. my light comes on and I add 2.5 gallons more or less. So about 18 lbs of fuel max? 440 doesnt jibe for a R model I dont think

sorry I went back and looked at my first post and it doesnt read well. I told him that I figured the bike sohuld weigh between 390 and 400 lbs with the 10 lbs wieghtloss due to my exhaust with an empty tank..he then siad with a full tank it weighed 460 and thats impossilbe, gas runs about 6 lbs a gallon.. so it couldnt be more than an extra 20 lbs. that would put it at about 420, maybe 430 but 460!!??? no way!

that would put my XB12Ss at 430-440 ??

perfect 440 pitch. No kiddin.

I have no idea. Heck I'm sure if you google year make and model specs, it'll pop right up [up]

btw: I was jokin about the 420 [up]

no everything you find is the dry or curb weight of a stock 12R (they claim from 388 all the way up to 395) I guess with all the street gear and passenger pegs and all that but with no fluids. So Im trying to gesimate what my weight is without actually going out and weighing it. ha ha

Not that it really matters. Bike has perfect balance/low center of gravity and enough power to chew up rear tires.:D
